ΑΡΘΡΟ 8

1. Η παρούσα Συμφωνία θα τεθεί σε ισχύ την ημερομηνία κατά την οποία και τα δύο Συμβαλλόμενα Μέρη θα έχουν

λάβει έγγραφη γνωστοποίηση, δια της διπλωματικής οδού, της ολοκλήρωσης των νομικών διατυπώσεων που απαιτούνται σε κάθε χώρα για τη θέση σε ισχύ της Συμφωνίας.

2. Η παρούσα Συμφωνία θα παραμείνει σε ισχύ επί (5) χρόνια και στο εξής θα ανανεώνεται αυτόματα κάθε φορά για πρόσθετες πενταετείς περιόδους, εκτός αν καταγγελθεί με γνωστοποίηση από ένα από τα Συμβαλλόμενα Μέρη τουλάχιστον τρεις (3) μήνες πριν από την εκπνοή της κάθε περιόδου.

Έγινε στην Αθήνα, την «1η» Νοεμβρίου 2004, σε δύο πρωτότυπα, το καθένα στην Ελληνική, Κιργιζιανή, Ρωσική και Αγγλική γλώσσα όλα τα κείμενα θεωρούνται εξίσου αυθεντικά.

Σε περίπτωση διαφοράς στην ερμηνεία, υπερισχύει το κείμενο στην Αγγλική.

AGREEMENT on cooperation in the field of Tourism between the Government of the Hellenic Republic and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic

The Government of the Hellenic Republic and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, hereinafter referred to as "The Parties",

Wishing to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries, as well as to promote co-operation between their tourist Authorities,

Taking into account the intention of both States to establish long term and close relations in the field of Tourism on mutually profitable terms,

Have agreed on the following:

Article 1

The Parties shall facilitate the establishment of a close co-operation between the Greek Ministry of Tourism and the State Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic for Tourism, Sport & Youth Policy aiming at increasing the tourist flow between their countries. With this aim they shall, in particular, encourage package tours for citizens of both states by promoting close cooperation between the travel agencies of their respective countries.

Article 2

The Parties shall exchange tourist information and advertising material for the purpose of better acquainting the people of both countries with the historical, cultural and tourist assets of their States.

Article 3

Aiming at promoting their bilateral technical co-operation the Parties shall encourage the exchange of know-how in the field of tourism, as well as visits of experts and personnel specialized in tourism and shall pay particular attention to the development of their co-operation in the field of training and retraining of professional tourism staff.

Article 4

The Parties shall facilitate, on a reciprocal basis, the trips of tourists between the two countries in accordance with their respective legislation in force and without prejudice to their international obligations.

In applying this Agreement the Hellenic Republic shall respect its obligations arising from its membership to the European Union.

Article 5

The Parties shall encourage mutual promotional activities aiming at the development of tourism between their countries, as well as the exchange of travel writers and journalists in the field of tourism for highlighting and making better known the tourism potential of both countries.

Article 6

The Parties shall strive to promote on a mutual basis and in accordance with the legislation in force in their countries and the bilateral agreements concluded between them, the investments of Greek and Kyrgyz entrepreneurs, as well as the establishment of joint ventures in their respective tourist sectors.

Article 7

The Parties shall endeavour, as much as possible, to take part in international tourist conferences, exhibitions, fairs and other tourist events organized in the territory of the other Party.

Article 8

1. The present Agreement shall enter into force on the date of the receipt by the Parties of the last written notification, through diplomatic channels, of the completion of the legal formalities required in each country for the entry into force of the Agreement.

2. This Agreement shall remain in force for five (5) years and shall thereafter be automatically renewed each time for additional five years periods, unless denounced by notification, through diplomatic channels, by one of the Parties at least three (3) months prior to the expiration of each period.

Done at Athens, on the of November 2004, in two original copies,

each in the Greek, Kyrgyz, Russian, and English languages, all texts being equally authentic.

In case of divergence in the interpretation, the English text shall prevail.

Άρθρο δεύτερο

Η ισχύς του παρόντος νόμου αρχίζει από τη δημοσίευσή του στην Εφημερίδα της Κυβερνήσεως και της Συμφωνίας που κυρώνεται από την πλήρωση των προϋποθέσεων του άρθρου 8 παράγραφος 1 αυτής.

Παραγγέλλομε τη δημοσίευση του παρόντος στην Εφημερίδα της Κυβερνήσεως και την εκτέλεσή του ως νόμου του Κράτους.
