Άρθρο 15

Η παρούσα Συμφωνία θα παραμείνει σε ισχύ για χρονικό διάστημα πέντε ετών και θα ανανεώνεται αυτομάτως μετέπειτα για περαιτέρω χρονικά διαστήματα των πέντε ετών κάθε φορά, εκτός εάν οιοδήποτε Συμβαλλόμενο Μέρος δώσει στο άλλο Συμβαλλόμενο Μέρος προηγούμενη γραπτή ειδοποίηση έξι μηνών περί της πρόθεσής του να καταγγείλει τη Συμφωνία.

Προς μαρτυρία των ανωτέρω οι κάτωθι υπογεγραμμένοι, δεόντως εξουσιοδοτημένοι από τις αντίστοιχες Κυβερνήσεις τους, υπέγραψαν την παρούσα Συμφωνία.

Έγινε στην Αθήνα σήμερα, την 9η ημέρα του Ιουνίου 2008 σε δύο πρωτότυπα στην Ελληνική, Βιετναμική και Αγγλική γλώσσα. Όλα τα κείμενα είναι εξ ίσου αυθεντικά. Σε περίπτωση διαφοράς κατά την ερμηνεία, υπερισχύει το Αγγλικό κείμενο.

CULTURAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC

AND

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF

VIETNAM

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM (hereinafter referred to as "The Contracting Parties"),

Desiring to further develop cultural cooperation between the two countries and their peoples on the basis of reciprocity and mutual benefit,

Convinced that the cooperation will contribute to enhance relationship and better mutual understanding between their respective peoples,

Article 1

1. The Contracting Parties shall seek to promote cooperation as well as provide appropriate opportunities for direct contacts in the fields of:

a) Language and literature, music, publication, crafts, visual and performing arts and other activities of cultural nature;

b) Education and research;

c) Mass media;

d) Social and youth activities; and

e) Sports.

2. To achieve this end, the Contracting Parties shall encourage and facilitate, on the basis of reciprocity and mutual benefits, the above cooperation through;a) Exchange of exhibitions and other displays of cultural and literature works, arts works;

b) Translation and publication of artistic and literary works;

c) Presentation of plays, dances and musical compositions;

d) Participation of their representatives in international congresses, conferences, symposia, seminars, festivals, competitions, book fairs and other international cultural events organized in their respective countries;

e) Exchange of experts and information as well as development of cooperation in the field of archives, libraries, history, museums, archaeology, architecture, painting, sculpture, literature, folklore, theatre, music, publication and other related arts areas;

f) Exchange in the field of mass media;

g) Closer links between educational institutions at various levels

Article 2

The Contracting Parties shall, to the extent permitted under their laws and regulations, encourage the exchange of students, post-graduates, scholars, teachers, lecturers, researchers, professors, educational administrators as well as other specialists in education.

Article 3

The Contracting Parties shall, to the extent permitted under their laws and regulations, exchange scholarships and fellowships tor university and postgraduate studies as well as research in institutions of higher education covering such subjects as may be agreed upon by the Contracting Parties.

Article 4

The Contracting Parties shall, to the extent permitted under their laws and regulations, endeavour to promote and facilitate the study of the language, literature and culture of each other's country.

Article 5

The Contracting Parties shall, to the extent permitted under their laws and regulations, exchange information and documentation, in order to facilitate their competent authorities in recognition of certificates, attestations, diplomas, degrees and academic titles.

Article 6

The Contracting Parties shall, to the extent permitted by their laws and regulations, promote cooperation as well as encourage exchanges of delegations and contacts between their organizations concerned in the fields of film, television and radio broadcasting, journalism and publication.

Article 7

The Contracting Parties shall, in accordance with their policies, laws and regulations, endeavour to promote youth exchanges, cooperation and direct contacts between their youth organizations.

Article 8

The Contracting Parties shall encourage direct contacts and cooperation in the fields of sports and physical education between their respective sports organizations.

Article 9

The Contracting Parties shall encourage and facilitate, on the basis of mutual benefit, exchanges and cooperation, in the fields of theoretical and applied sciences and provide appropriate opportunities of direct contacts between scientific institutions and organizations, research institutes and universities as well as other institutions of higher education, scholars, i cseaiclicis ami specialists in ihe two countries; they shall also encourage joint activities in specialized areas and topics of common interest.

In order to implement scientific cooperation, the Contracting Parties shall assign the agencies concerned of both sides to work out the appropriate modalities for a programme of joint activities in the following areas:

a) Visits, study trips and consultation of researchers, scientists and other specialists,

b) Joint collaboration and implementation of research programmes and projects and exchange of the results thereof,

c) Organize of joint courses, conferences and symposia,

d) Exchange of audio-visual materials of scientific nature,

e) Organization of scientific exhibitions and displays,

f) Exchange of scientific literature, documentation and information.

Article 10

The Contracting Parties shall promote their active cooperation within international organizations in the fields of culture, education and science.

Article 11

For the purpose of implementation of this Agreement, the representatives of the Contracting Parties shall meet alternately in Vietnam and in Greece to elaborate the details of executive programmes as well as their financial terms.

Article 12

This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of the last notification by either Contracting Party to the other Contracting Party that all necessary legal formalities for its entry into force have been completed.

Article 13

Any dispute or difference between the Contracting Parties arising from the implementation or interpretation of this Agreement or otherwise in connection with it shall be settled by negotiation between the Contracting Parties through diplomatic channels.

Article 14

This Agreement may be amended by mutual consent in writing by the Contracting Parties through diplomatic channels.

Article i5

This Agreement shall remain in force for a period of five years and shall be renewed automatically thereafter for further periods of five years each time, unless either Contracting Party gives to the other Contracting Party a six months' prior written notice of its intention to terminate the Agreement.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned, being duly authorized thereto by their respective Governments have signed the present Agreement.

Άρθρο δεύτερο

Η τροποποίηση, που προβλέπεται στο άρθρο 14, υπόκειται στην ίδια διαδικασία με την οποία τίθεται σε ισχύ η παρούσα Συμφωνία.

Άρθρο τρίτο

Η ισχύς του παρόντος νόμου αρχίζει από τη δημοσίευση του στην Εφημερίδα της Κυβερνήσεως, και της Συμφωνίας που κυρώνεται από την πλήρωση των προϋποθέσεων του άρθρου 12 αυτής.

Παραγγέλλομε τη δημοσίευση του παρόντος στην Εφημερίδα της Κυβερνήσεως και την εκτέλεσή του ως νόμου του Κράτους.

• Η καταβολή γίνεται σε όλες τις Δημόσιες Οικονομικές Υπηρεσίες (Δ.Ο.Υ.).
